Mural Update:

Beach

As mentioned in last post, I was invited by the lead designer Alice Mac and CDO Steve Lindee at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital last winter to design 3 murals for their patient rooms. They are “i spy” inspired and the team picked the themes; Beach , Jungle and MO with a twist. I’m thrilled to share that I have completed them. You can check out the processes of them on my Youtube channel as well as some photos of them on my IG.

Its a bittersweet feeling to have completed these. Excited to be done but got attached to being there and part of the family. There were so many exciting moments just in the short time I was there; what strength and strong courage every single heart has there. As you know this style of mural work I typically don’t do: However, I did get to use all of my color therapy knowledge love and intentional creating just the same. To say the least for now; I’ll miss hearing all the brave conversations and witnessing the magic of strength and courage.

Overtone Updates:

I finished the painting Overtone – Shattering Silence. They are currently preparing/ in the processes of being framed(photo example below). For now you can check my “current work” tab for more information on the series. As well as, all the recordings of me painting them; which include, how to mix colors, the healing properties they carry and my own personal journey using colors as a guide to healing on YouTube. There are also a few close ups of the paintings on my InstaGram . I don’t plan on posting any finished photos of Overtone public until the first or so openings. So, if you haven’t already, please follow, subscribe and show some love to me over there on those outlets so you get any sneak peeks that make be included there. (Please check out the last post for more information on this series).

Also, I have figured out how these pieces will be stored and safely shipped. Which is another check on the list. I’m currently working on the financial part to make this completed part of the project; so don’t forget to check out the “orginals for sale” tab.

The next steps will be (as mentioned in past updates) working with Sarah Corbett Photography. I’ve already met with her and got to check out some book styles, cover texture , page shine and display. This part is very special because its the way I can make sure everyone has the opportunity (from me) to learn about how colors are healing and my healing journey. Great to have in your businesses , share with family and friends. You’ll be able to order your copy through my website each one personalized to you of course after the first gallery opening. I’ll be back to share more on this shortly.

Further more as if that wasn’t already a lot…I have started my next two series of work. They both mean the most to me. They both are dove tailing into deeper layers of my creativity that has been sitting side lines these last couple of years as I started and finish school and worked towards Overtone (which is like a graduation show to me). One has a beginning and end, so to say and the other one can continue for the rest of me(these would be the satellites ; I want to do a few twist and turns with them using vibrations. I’ve started already using satellites as a form of verbal emotional expression on my IG and wrote a little on my website.. they are a rather profound piece of technology that cause different currents/emotions into our day to day lives) The Satellites will represent different frequencies that make different shapes; the vibration tone effect different part of our nervous system creating us to respond with emotions / like , dislike of sound. Plans to play different frequencies into the satellite dishes with paint like / ink like substance in the center and allow it to catch shape over time. (Have you every seen Dr. Emoto water experiment? Similar theory I’m building on but people are the water in my theory tho Im using the dishes to capture it) In hopes this will be live performance piece that becomes captured stillness by the end. It’s similar concept to Overtone-Shattering Silence…with plans to have 90 minutes of silence with the colors/ individual paintings I created..

Looking forward to sharing more as we approach fall winter.

More Arty Updates

A few more amazing art updates!!!

I finished the painting part Overtone – Shattering Silence. You can check the post below and my “current work” tab for more information on the series. As well as, all the recordings of this series of me painting , the healing properties of color and my own personal journey on YouTube and InstaGram . So, if you haven’t already, please follow, subscribe and show some love to me over there on those outlets.

Whats left to this series:

I’ve been working with a design team and they have fully met my expectation and imagination. A magic trick is what I wanted to make these pieces look like they were just floating on the wall; after a few meetings that’s exactly what they have done. The costumer services and and artfulness of my visual expectation has been phenomenal. (the photo here is the half size example)

Example

As you may of read in last post , I want this series to go to a few galleries before hanging in their forever homes. The owners are still able to purchase, however, the work will travel with me until the tour is done. Working on how this contract will look as the Overtone tour outline comes together. With that in mind.. One of the most important steps I’m still working on is how to ship them… I have a few place to go to now and will be setting these meetings up soon now that I have an example piece.

Gee gully am I excited for this part. As mentioned, I’m working with Sarah Corbett Photography. If anyone knows her work she has the most magical way of capturing exactly what your eyes/heart sees for you to relay-“the feeling” to the viewer in 2D portfolio. I’ve met with her and got to check out some book styles, cover texture , page shine and display. This brings so much joy to me. Its part of the way I can share about how colors are healing, express my life-healing journey and everyone getting the opportunity to have my work in their homes, businesses and share with family and friends. Oh so soon you’ll be able to order your copy through my website each one personalized of course.

Mural Updates!!!!!!

Also, mentioned in last post: I was invited by the lead designer Alice Mac at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital last winter to design 3 murals for their patient rooms. They are “i spy” inspired and the team picked the themes; Beach , Jungle and MO-Ill twist. I start these on July 22nd 2019 and can not wait. I’ve been painting them in my dreams(day and night). This isn’t of the style of work I typically do; However, Mac assured me I was the artist she wanted. My heart is always ready for the kids and/or the good of love. I’m thankful for my brothers Cbabi Bayoc guidance. He helped me understand and confirm all the steps that were best to take for this project; which gave me the boost of confidence to dig into the opportunity.

As you could imagine, I’m feeling good and in the extra feels of all the love, light and happiness. Self motivations/talks include: my dream board to stay focus when distractions try to rise – and telling myself to grind out until my lights out.

Further more as if that wasn’t already a lot…I have started my next two series of work. I cant decide which one should take lead yet… They both mean the most to me. They both dove tailing into deeper layers of my creativity that has been sitting side lines these last couple of years as I started and finish school and worked towards Overtone (which is like a graduation showing to me). One has a beginning and end, so to say and the other one can continue for the rest of me(these would be the satellites ; I also have a link to them on my website and have shared on IG but I want to do a few twist and turns with them using vibrations) So I’ll just work on both since they are so different… Looking forward to sharing more on these series upcoming as we approach fall winter.

I’ll be back to share more on Overtone shortly.

Arty Updates

My new paint pants…

A few amazing art updates!!!

If you didn’t know, I’ve been recording and sharing me painting , the healing properties of color and my own personal journey on YouTube. I created a channel..catchy name “Artist Ashli”. I also give away a “Color Study” each week on InstaGram of the color I’m working on (8inch round water color on paper that looks amazing in a floating frame/yes I need to update the shop with more). All you have to do to enter for free art is… comment on any of my IG stories. Yes, yes you can enter each week for a different color. So, if you haven’t already, please follow, subscribe and show some love to me over there on those outlets.

I just completed the color Black. This piece will be featured in my up coming series Overtone – Shattering Silence. 11 down 6 more to go! ( I wrote about this series in my March 4, 2019 post below. please, check it out). This series started off slow to me. I had such a huge learning curve when it came to recording, editing, producing, and so many etc’s. Nothing I have ever done before. Now, it seems to be flying by on so many levels, yet so many pieces of the puzzle to still put in place.

Whats left to this series run down:

I’m working with Regal Plastic(High performance plastic company) for my frames. The design team Jake and Dave are more then amazing. The costumer services and meeting my visual expectation has been phenomenal. I will be meeting with them this coming week to check out a couple prototypes. To say the least , I am very excited and can not wait to see them floating on a gallery wall.

I’m also, working with Sarah Corbett Photography. If anyone knows her work she has the most magical way of capturing exactly what your eyes/heart sees for you to relay-“the feeling” to the viewer in 2D portfolio.

With that, this will be the first series made into a book. I made a small prototype of a book which lead Sarah on seeing my vision and sent over a few prototypes that matched my vision. Again, to say the least, I can not wait and looking forward to moving forward with this.

As well as, I want this series to go to a few galleries before hanging in their forever homes. I want the owner to be able to purchase but to know they still travel with me until the tour is done. Working on how this contract will look as the Overtone tour outline comes together.

With that in mind.. One the most important step is how to store/ship them as far as packaging/wrapping/driving/shipping them safely goes. I have a few thoughts but haven’t gotten to the physical prototypes just yet, gotta get through framing first…

Further News…

I was invited by the lead designer Alice Mac at Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital last winter to design 3 murals for their patient rooms. They are “i spy” inspired and the team picked the themes; Beach , Jungle and Saint Louis. I put a Missouri twist on the Saint Louis one, since kiddos visit from all over and their location isn’t technically Saint Louis City. They loved it and by the end of this summer I should be starting my first room.

I have few other plans/invitations up the sleeve and already looking forward to my next series of work. Yes , yes I already have three+ series out there in my head. I look forward to sharing all updates in my upcoming post.

As you could imagine, I’m feeling good and in the extra feels of all the love, light and happiness. Self motivations/talks include: my dream board to stay focus when distractions try to rise – and telling myself to grind out until my lights out.

Loving The Flow

“Over Tune” – Shattering Silence is going really well. I just finished piece number 7, Violet! I’m so grateful to have been offered music from@stlfamilyaffair to collaborate with the violet FIF video and future ones to come.

This is not Violet this is Yellow ; complementary to Violet and piece number #3

I continue to improve each video as I go…lights, sound, music etc (as well as have not been sick like when I started my first few videos phew). I’m always open to suggestions and feed back. To say the least ; I’m proud of myself to sticking with this even though it was really rough to learn how to produce , edit , sound and music. However, I knew these are the skills I would need if I really wanted to share how colors can heal, how they have affected me and the process of my work with a audience. I’m thankful to over come such much and loving the flow I have and am creating.

I have a few items to still check off my list for this series to be complete. As I stay focus and keep my head up with only the goals on my mind; everything continues to fall place.

One thing that I’m really looking forward too is sharing a book to go with the series. I have designed books related to color in the pass and have a dream of “Flip Books”. I feel this series has given me a greats building foundation to accomplish and further my goals as and artist and color influencer.

If you’re interested in following me on my journey as an artist connect with me on YouTube and Instagram.

Thank you for your time.

Overtone – “Shattering Silence”

YELLOW: 3 of 17

The series I’m working on currently is 17 Works of Art on Round Glass.

Titled as above: Overtone – “Shattering Silence”

I believe silence can change any course with a complex compromise between subconscious and consciousness. With this belief, silence creates perception and how we physically interact.
Silence that is never heard like an overtone without the laughter, movement, fear and anything between like harmonics. The paintings I created are my reflection of this belief. The colors are silence that will be carried by perception from the subconscious and consciousness creating harmonics in any course that they be placed.

I’m back and leaping forward..

Looong winded update here. As you already may be aware, I’m back from my trip to Switzerland. That’s right, I finished school and now I’m a Practitioner in Color and Sound healing! I see clients on Monday’s at FLOAT Mid Town. Learn more about my practice and scheduling sessions here.

Ashli the Artist

I will always be an artist, one that is inspired (spoken to) by the colors (energies) and vibrations around me. This experience amplified excitement for the upcoming works. It’s also developed a significant amount of growth in my life journey. One of my largest goals in traveling around the world to Tama – Do was to dive deeper into a “heady” space of consciousness and to devolp a complete understanding of color and vibrations. On this journey, I naturally discovered my personal experiences with colors/vibrations. I was elated to see how this new expansiveness is allowing even further growth as an artist.

Ashli the Artist/Healer; Combining My Passions

As I came back home and began to finish pieces that I started before my journey. I’m placing them in new homes and prepare for upcoming showings, my heart seems to be on fire for growth.  If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that I started posting about satellites. For two entire years before starting Tama-Do, I began using and transforming satellites as my canvas too.

I was generously offered reclaimed residential TV service satellites as a medium for my work. A divine light bulb went off and  I had a flood of  overwhelming feelings.  I began to reflect on how satellites could have an larger meaning, metaphor and correlation to my journey with sound and color.

Ashli the Artist/Healer/Thinker

Looking back to when I was a child and seeing satellites. How will my family afford one some day? How much money does a person need? I wonder what people watch? Why are there so many on one building? The joy that I would get , the jealousy of wanting to be included. These thoughts, fantasies and questioning never ended. I’m sure growing up in the time technology was beginning to become rapidly growing allowed all this new space for analyzing.             As a growing young adult, I still questioned them by the ads that came in the mail, staring off at them while on the bus, in a car, walking, etc.   Why are they just left behind? Why are so many willing to invest their money into having service?  Why do some people believe everything they see as truth, instead of a one way of perceiving reality?  Why does one make sure they’re home in time for their favorite show?  Ever growing questioning with endless answers leading me more to the understanding of the “power of media” the “power of comfort” the “power of freedom” “the power of marketing” the never ending list and what this can mean for many people on many different levels.     I remember so clearly how  proud I was when I bought my very first TV and could pay for the cable in my first place. I constantly reflected on my Mom and the hard work she invested to get to me that point.  I discovered something I wanted and thought that I needed was often found left on.  Just as once before, a kid stuck outside, I would be on my porch watching the clouds go by or two birds gathering grass to build a nest. I eventually get rid of the cable. it turned out I never actually needed it.      Now, as an adult I choose not to have any cable, satellites or regular television in my home but never lost my curiosity about how it all comes together and it’s all fallen apart.

I’m lunging further into incorporating more works of art on satellites. I will continue tuning myself in and engaging with my loyal followers and newcomers with color and sound vibrations. I am so excited to continue to express how these actions occur every moment around us and how impactful they truly are to our day to day lives.

Leaping forward

Check out the tab on my website that will take you directly to Satellite Art. Stay tuned for updates!

I plan to paint on these satellites just as I do on my circular canvas, inspired by colors, vibrations, past, present, future, love, relationships, media, politics, social movements, day to day life in my community surrounding areas, fantasies, and so forth.

I’ll also be creating installations! I want to add a new chapter to my work and its meaning and move it into 3 dimensions. I want the work to be  more immersive, visceral, relatable, thought and conversation provoking is my goal.

I look forward to sharing my growth and I invite you to engage with me as often as would like using either Ashli.org or any of my social media pages.  If you’re new to Ashli.org WELCOME! I hope I’ve inspired you to look around your life and discover your own forms of evolution or art. As always, thank you for support.

E3 x 3 x 3

My , my , it’s been a while since I have shared an update. I feel like I’ve hit the ground running since I’ve been home from Malibu.

Quick run down… I have been practicing Color and Sound Healing above FLOATSTL Mid-Town. I see clients on Monday’s and have really enjoyed the opportunity to hold space with so many incredible people. If interested in an appointment please contact me.

Just incase you were wonder… I still have time to paint some wonderful pieces of art. Some would call their passion second nature …However, I can never not see colors and artwork in my head so I’ll call mine first 😉 Especially  after my schooling amazing next level vortexes Tama Do taught me and how much more I see color and inspired to guide with my gift of synesthesia.

With that , I do currently have work featured at Randall Gallery 13th North St.   Saint Louis

I also, started doing a little live recording on Facebook. Really have enjoyed the feed back and it’s a neat way for me to get out of my box while staying in 😉 as well as working on Twitch(for artist) account which is another live stream social media app. I’m most proud of staying current  on Instagram that took me a while but I think I’ve created a flow that works well for me and possibly easier for people to see me as an artist. It’s always a growing process.

As of now… I am on the grind grind grind grind. My second level of schooling for color and sound healing is in Switzerland 🇨🇭  (Brennan’s and Sir’s level 1 intensive) and we are working ever so hard to get there. Leaving everything to life’s plan and the rainbows and fairies;) while still working hard to catch up on daily bills blah. They say if you can see it , you can be it ; so here’s to the big dreams for our future 🙌🏽. June 11th will hopefully be the fly out date.. I’ll do my best to keep you posted here however if you click the follow button on my Instagram or Facebook you might find some quicker action.

Thank you for being here on this journey with me. I’m ever so looking forward to many more stories to share with you. Until next time…
